I am presently re doing my logo for my site (still a work in progress) and while I was at it I checked out some Free commercial fonts that I also downloaded.
Found a cool site and the site is called Larabie Fonts. The fonts were designed by Ray Larabie. He became interested in fonts in the early 70’s when his grandmother gave him sheets of dry transfer lettering. He began creating typefaces with pen and paper and later, on his first computer, a TRS-80.
In 1995, He launched Ray Larabie’s Freeware Typeface of the Week a small website featuring his latest font designs which he offered free of charge for anyone to use. In 1996, he redesigned the site, changed its name to Larabie Fonts and began using better font design software. Soon, he was launching new typefaces as fast as he could produce them.
Here are some cool ones that I picked. Enjoy!
There are so much more that you can choose from. You can find his collection HERE.
Note when you do download:
- Most Larabie Fonts are totally free for personal and commercial use. Load as many as you want into your Shopping Cart at MyFonts.com and proceed to the checkout. Your total for Larabie Fonts should be $0.00. If you end up with a total greater than $0.00, check that you have included only free styles of Larabie Fonts.
- Some styles of Larabie Fonts are NOT free and some are NOT free for commercials use, so pay close attention to the price before you check out. All Larabie Fonts have at least one free personal use font style.
What I liked about his collection is that its really varied and fun so much you can actually do with them. What do you think?
